Engineering
A suppressor is a chain: each baffle takes part of the blast and hands less to the next. We design the chain, not the tube.
How we designTesting
Sound numbers go online with the method, the ammo, the rifle and the barrel length, or they don't go online.
How we testMaterials
Stainless where the gas hits hard, aluminum where it doesn't. The cheapest metal that does each job.

A suppressor company named after a subatomic particle. Here's the reasoning, and why it isn't a gimmick.

Four cans, each named for the job it does. Here's how to tell which one you need.
ReadAbout Protonic Precision
Protonic Precision is two brothers making suppressors from first principles. The name comes from the proton, from the Greek prōtos, "first." Protons push apart with enormous force, the strongest force in nature holds them together anyway, and no one has ever seen one fail.
That's the whole job of a suppressor: hold violent energy in a small space, shot after shot, without breaking. Cans come first. A rifle line designed around them comes next.
What we make
Four suppressors from .22 rimfire to .45-70, the Gluon and Pion mounts that hold them on, and, coming soon, rifles built suppressor-first. Each part of the system is designed to work with the rest.
How we work
Physics is the story; specs sell the product. We publish measured numbers with the method behind them, and we don't publish anything we haven't measured.
Who we are
Two brothers. Like a proton, most of what holds us together is the bond, not the parts.

Buying, owning and running a suppressor, and what we make.

The proton is named from the Greek prōtos, "first." Protons are held together by the strongest force in nature, and no one has ever seen one decay. That's the job description of a suppressor: contain violent energy in a small space, shot after shot, without failing. The full story.
Each can is named for the job it does. Proton Plinker is for .22 and .17 rimfire. Proton Sidearm is for 9mm pistols and carbines. Proton Adapt is the rifle can, from an AR-15 to a .300 Win Mag. Proton Safari takes the big ones: .45 ACP, 10mm and big-bore rifles like the .45-70.
It depends on your state, and it changed recently. As of 15 Oct 2026:
Read ATF's current guidance and our buying guide, and ask your dealer what applies where you live.
No. Federal law doesn't allow it. Suppressors ship to a licensed dealer in your state, and you pick yours up there after the background check. Mounts, apparel and swag can ship to you directly.
In most states, yes. Civilians can't own them in California, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island or Washington, D.C. Hunting with one is also restricted in Connecticut. Laws change, so check a current source such as this state-by-state list, and this one for hunting, before you buy.
